I earned my B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Arizona. My experiences in tutoring are in Math and Science. While I can tutor many different courses in Math, I feel that the door into practical applications of Math opens up in Calculus 1. This is the level where Math becomes powerful and has interdisciplinary applications. Almost all areas of study have mathematical applications, and I believe that mastering the concepts will help students to excel in all their courses of study. Since I am a recent graduate (December 2014), I am familiar with the current classroom concepts for Math and Science and how to approach them. I am always available to assist students who are currently facing challenges in their college Math and Science courses, or those who are about to embark into the world of college Math and Science. Outside of academics, I work to stay fit physically by playing sports, working out at the gym, running, hiking, or wall-climbing. I am a fan of indie rock/pop music and enjoy listening to new bands or attending concerts. I also enjoy reading fiction (Vonnegut and Campus) and nonfiction, and watching Sci-Fi movies and shows.
